Betsy moved to northwest Gainesville in 1974. After graduating from high school, Betsy left Gainesville to pursue a business education at Duke University and a MBA in marketing from The Wharton School of Business. After a ten year career in marketing, Betsy returned to her hometown Gainesville and pursued her interest in real estate. Having been a real estate investor for years, Betsy turned her passion into a career by becoming a full-time Realtor.
With her background and expertise in marketing, Betsy has experienced tremendous success in her new career. In her first year, she sold almost $5 million in real estate and in the first half of 2007, she surpassed $6 million in sales. Her accolades include a nomination for the Gainesville Sun’s Community Service Award, the 2006 Leaders’ Circle Award from the Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors (GACAR), membership in the 2006 GACAR Honor Society and a nomination for Realtor of the Month.
In addition to working full time as a Realtor, Betsy is an active volunteer in the community, earning her a nomination for the Gainesville Sun’s Community Service Award in 2006. She has served on the PTA board at Wiles Elementary for several years, is active teaching Gainesville’s youth at her church, and is Vice President of her community’s board. Most importantly, Betsy has two daughters with whom she devotes significant time.
